My Story…
I am raising money for the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) to honor my late paternal grandfather, Zaverbhai Patel, who we lost to lung cancer. My grandfather was a resilient and noble man and I know he is cheering me on. I also want to honor my maternal grandmother, Pushpaben Patel, who is currently battling colon cancer and she truly is one of the strongest women I know.
The Philadelphia Half-Marathon will be my first half-marathon. My goal is to raise $1,000 to give back to AACR in the hopes of a future where no one has to lose their loved ones to cancer. AACR is a charity where over 90% of dollars donated go directly to funding research.
