My Story…
I'm asking for your support as I participate in my first Philadelphia half marathon. I'm choosing to run in memory of my brother-in-law David Coovert who lost his battle to cancer in October of 2022.
David had been in my life since before I was teenager. He taught me about many of the important things in life, like how to properly drink whiskey, and use proper blackjack strategy. He was a fantastic husband to my sister Michelle, and an even better dad to their 3 kids. He was one of a kind and loved by so many. To say the least, we miss him greatly.
The American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) is dedicated to accelerating progress in the field of cancer research. Through research, collaboration, and advocacy, AACR works to improve the lives of the many individuals affected by cancer.
My initial fundraising goal was $1,000 but $3,170 is my goal new goal as a nod to David's birthday, March 17!
