Growing up with epilepsy, I never knew what I could do, as a seizure could occur unexpectedly at any time or place. For me, epilepsy was embarrassing, debilitating, and isolating.  Empowering Epilepsy's goal is to bring people together who understand epilepsy, and help them realize they are not alone.

1 in 10 people will have a seizure in their lifetime. 1 in 26 will be diagnosed with epilepsy. With little to no resources for people with epilepsy outside of their epileptologist's office, Empowering Epilepsy was founded by people with epilepsy, for people with epilepsy. Support Empowering Epilepsy to help us change the conversation about epilepsy and seizures in Northeast Ohio.
