Why I support The Pittsburgh Project
Last year my entire family participated in The Pittsburgh Marathon weekend activities. It was a ton of fun training together with each other and with some of our other friends from The Pittsburgh Project. We're doing the same thing again this year!
In a moment of craziness, I decided that I was going to try and run The Pittsburgh Marathon's half marathon in 2023 before I turned 40. I am excited to take on this challenge but also questioning daily why I made this decision. At the end of the day, I chose to run the half marathon because I love the work we do at The Pittsburgh Project. I love the young people and families we walk alongside and the community we are a part of!
I'm asking that you support me in doing this crazy thing that I've never done before in support of the life-changing work of The Pittsburgh Project! And if you'd like to run with me, feel free to join; I can promise that it will be at a turtle's pace, so you'll be able to keep up, lol!

The Pittsburgh Project strives to care for people by sharing hope, empowering youth and building community. We have served the residents of the Northside for the past 37 years. We offer innovative educational opportunities for children and youth K-12 grades, through summer camps and after school programs. We assist community residents through partnerships with the URA and local church groups. Thank you for partnering with us to "Run for a Reason"!
