My Story…
For the longest time, running felt like something that I wasn't very good at. I knew it was good for me, so I did it, but I don't think I could say that I really enjoyed it. But this last year, as I've been running consistently and training for the Pittsburgh Marathon, running has become an important part of my life. It's been a way to spend time outside, a chance to have time to myself, something that makes my body and mind feel good, and a way to process grief. It's gone from something that I used to dread to something that I am grateful for daily.
As I train for the race, I'm hoping to also fundraise money for the organization Haiti H2O. They work to empower rural communities in Haiti to build their infrastructure in education, health and sanitation, homes, and businesses. If you'd like to find out more about the work that they do, you can find a link to their website below!
If you do decide to donate any amount, thank you! I hugely appreciate it. And if you do, please text or e-mail me your address so that I can send a thank you note your way.
