My Story…
Hello! This year I've decided to take on the challenge of running the full 26.2 miles of the Pittsburgh Marathon! While signing up, you can decide to run for a cause, and I've chosen the Homeless Children Education Fund. This organization supports local children in the southwestern Pennsylvania area with support in meeting their educational needs while they are faced with outside difficulties beyond their control. According to their website, in the 2019-2020 school year alone there were 3,212 children found to be homeless just in the Allegheny County School districts. This organization directly helps these children and seeks to aid them with their educational goals. With that being said, please consider donating to support me, and more importantly the children of western PA, while I run in May 2023!
Description
Donate to help raise money for Homeless Children's Education Fund (HCEF) during Marathon Weekend. Your donation helps students break the cycle of homelessness through educational achievement. HCEF provides programming for students in kindergarten to age 24. Programming includes afterschool, tutoring support, social and emotional regulation, college and career prep, as well as enrichment, emergency funding and educational grants.
