Help Daisy raise money

I just wrote a paper for grad school about adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and the negative outcomes that they carry into adulthood. These include poor overall health, mental illness, substance misuse/abuse, violence, and homelessness. I also emphasized the importance of positive childhood experiences that can help negate the detrimental effects of ACEs. 

When I signed up for a marathon in May, I was provided with the opportunity to fundraise for a good cause. Youthplaces is a safe environment where kids learn, grow, and play. It provides kids with the opportunity to direct the course of their futures and a chance to succeed in life.

Growing up in a rural area, I was fortunate to be able to participate in 4-H. It provided me with an environment to be my silly authentic self. It gave me an opportunity to be creative, happy, and imaginative. All kids should have access to a program that nurtures their learning and development through positive experiences, whether they're in urban or rural communities.
