Help Laura raise money

For participating in 2023 DICK'S Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon Weekend

My Story…

I am fundraising to support the ALS Association Western PA Chapter. As many of you know my life was touched by ALS in February 2019 when my mother, Judith, was diagnosed. Without the support of the ALS Association I would not have been able to take care of my mother. They were able to help with funding as well as equipment. I can't even begin to tell you the amount of emotional support my received. My husband (Tim) and I where my mother's primary caregivers. In conjunction with hospice and the ALS Association we were able to honor my mother's wishes and keep her home. The last 2.5 years of her life were hard but she lived the most of the them and with dignity. She won her battle on July 3rd 2022 when she passed at home with us. I was able to hold her hand the entire time.

My mother supported me on my health journey and with everything she had going on pushed me to exercise and take care of myself. I am running this half marathon in her honor.  Please consider supporting me or the ALS Association.
