My Story…
I'm coming out of retirement to complete another 5K! For several years, I would do a 5K per month (sans January & February for obvious Pittsburgh weather reasons) and stopped doing them altogether. When this opportunity came up to support Envision Blind Sports, I thought it was time to lace up my shoes again. So, why Envision? Envision Blind Sports gives visually impaired and blind people the opportunity to participate in a variety of sports and outdoor recreation. As a Board Member, I have seen the joy and confidence from the athletes as they realize what they CAN do - like ski, track & field, goal ball, basketball, kayak and the list goes on. The Envision team provides a safe, encouraging environment, so these athletes have a variety of opportunities to play sports and enjoy the outdoors. I'm excited to support Envision, so join me!
