My Story
The time is here once again. Sporting life 10k is a race held annually in support of raising funds with kids who have cancer. Some may not know, but the donations go towards sending children going through cancer treatment to a camp called Camp Firecircle (formerly Camp Ooch). This provides them with an opportunity to feel like a kid again, make meaningful connections with other young people enduring cancer and allow them to build life skills.
My wife @jazfraser was one of those kids. She's been on remission now for 18 years, but her memories of Camp Ooch are powerful moments in her life where she could be herself and not the disease she was fighting.
Next Sunday May 14th, we will be running in person again for the 4th year straight, in support of this great initiative and hoping to raise $2500 to send a child to camp for 1 week. If you would consider supporting this cause please visit LINK or the link in my bio.

A diagnosis of childhood cancer or serious illness changes life in an instant. For kids and families, their schedule suddenly revolves around medical appointments and hospital stays, with long absences from school. There is no time for simple joys like friendships, birthday parties or sport activities.
Campfire Circle is passionate about helping kids to just be kids, once again. By supporting their in-hospital, community and overnight camp programs, you will help bring joy and laughter to kids and families during their most challenging times, at no cost to them.
