My Story
This year, my team and I are fundraising for Campfire Circle's Sporting Life 10k and I've set a personal fundraising goal of $1500 to help fund a weekend of family camp. I need your help to get there!
Where ever a child is in their cancer journey, Campfire Circle delivers camp-inspired programs at no cost to the family. Whether this is in-hospital programs, community programs, or up at overnight camp - Campfire Circle meets campers where they are to help bring smiles and giggles to their day.
I've seen firsthand the magic camp brings to families and campers impacted by childhood cancer and serious illness. This past November, I volunteered for a weekend of Family Camp at Rainbow Lake, I supported a family new to cancer and new camp and the experience was transformational. Camp gave them the space to reconnect as a family for the first time in three years, all while being supported by the on-site medical team. From singing to crafts, rock climbing and playing so many games of hungry hippos, these families are leaning on us!

A diagnosis of childhood cancer or serious illness changes life in an instant. For kids and families, their schedule suddenly revolves around medical appointments and hospital stays, with long absences from school. There is no time for simple joys like friendships, birthday parties or sport activities.
Campfire Circle is passionate about helping kids to just be kids, once again. By supporting their in-hospital, community and overnight camp programs, you will help bring joy and laughter to kids and families during their most challenging times, at no cost to them.
