My Story…

I have always been a supporter of this event for its worthy cause, its collegiate atmosphere and the feeling of achievement on completion. However, last year cancer affected my family directly, with my wife being treated for an aggressive and malignant tumour in her breast. With about six month of chemotherapy, a couple of surgeries and radiation treatment every day in Tamworth for a month, she faced the odds and won. Thankfully, she has recently been diagnosed as having a complete response to the treatment. We are so fortunate. This has provided us with first-hand experience of the services that the money from the TDR event helps fund - transport, wigs, counselling, research and medical equipment in our local area. Suffice to say that this experience has also provided me with a renewed motivation to participate again, helping raise funds for these critical services in the hope that more people can feel as fortunate as we do.

I'm gearing up to make a difference by fundraising for a cause that's close to all our hearts. Raising funds for Cancer Research and Services.

 

By participating in the annual Tour de Rocks Charity Bike ride, around 250 kms over 3 days, we hope to make a difference. Tour de Rocks relies on the generosity of our supporters to be able to help those in need.

 

Funds raised are crucial in enabling Tour de Rocks to continue their work in the community. They couldn't do it without the help of dedicated fundraisers like you - every bit counts and any amount you can donate is greatly appreciated.
