Dear Friends and Family,

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! As many of you know Brandt has been on the Board of FirefighterAid for the past 10 years and the stair climb has been a part of our life together since day one. When I first met Brandt he and our friend Sean were in charge of picking up donated kegs for the beer garden and driving around golf carts during setup. He’s come a long way since then and will be delivering a speech on stage as President of FirefighterAid during this years opening ceremony (but he will probably still find a reason to drive around in a golf cart too). To say I’m proud of his commitment and leadership would be an understatement. I’ve watched as he’s taken many meetings and phone calls, made hospital visits, completed a certificate program for managing non-profits, coordinated funeral arrangements, advocated for meaningful change, and provided education to other departments on cancer awareness and prevention. So much of the reason for the work is sad and hard, but I’m so grateful for people like Brandt (and the rest of the Board) who choose to walk along side and offer a helping hand to others in the most challenging times of their lives.

Last year, I was very pregnant and missed the climb while awaiting the arrival of our tiny Truver. This year I’ll be back in the stairwell with our little dude tagging along for the ride.
