My Story…
Dear Friends,
As a Board Member at Trellis Society, I know how important your support is in helping us work with Calgarians every day to unearth their potential and help them flourish.
Without people like you, fewer children, youth and families in our communities would be able to access critical resources like housing, counselling, employment services and social connection.
That’s why I’m lacing up this Spring as a member of Team Trellis for the Centaur Subaru Half Marathon – and I’d love for you to join me!
I started running because I live so close to the beautiful river pathways in Calgary and I kept seeing people loving their lives while enjoying cardio and nature, so I figured I’d join in.
Even if you’re not a runner, you can still support Team Trellis and our goal of raising $50,000! There is a fantastic opportunity to double your impact from now until April 15th.
My best running experience was finishing my first race in Invermere, and seeing my two little girls and my husband at the finish line cheering me on. I felt so proud of myself, and was happy to share that moment with them.
This will be my first time participating in the Servus Calgary Marathon Race Weekend and I can’t wait to experience the course and meet fellow Trellis supporters passionate about making a difference in the lives of thousands of Calgarians.
With so many ways to participate, you don’t have to be an accomplished athlete to join the fun. From the 5KM Walk to the Ultra 50KM and lots in between, there’s a race for every age and ability.
Thank you for the impact you’re making in Calgary and beyond. I’ll see you at the starting line on Sunday May 28th!

Thank you! Trellis Society is thrilled to announce that with your support, we have successfully surpassed the $50,000 goal. Trellis acknowledges that this achievement has been made possible by generous donors like you, corporate partner, MEG Energy and matching partner, Bluevale Capital Group, who has matched funds totaling $25,000! For those who have not had a chance to donate and would still like to contribute, donations will be accepted until June 23, 2023.
Funds raised support Calgary and surrounding area through a broad spectrum of programs focusing on Youth Housing and Shelter, Education, Employment, Early Childhood Development, Immigration and New Canadians, Foster Care, Residential and Treatment Facilities, Clubs and Experiential Learning, and Indigenous Initiatives.
