Why am I supporting Foothills Academy Society?
Hi Folks,
It's the one and only Luke here! Most of my friends at Camp Amicus call me Yoda.
I am so excited to support Foothills Academy Society in the marathon this year as we raise money for a bouldering wall and black box theater space.
I have been at Foothills Academy Society for 3 years now. I started at Camp Amicus as camp staff, joined the school program in the classroom, and I have recently returned to Camp Amicus as the Manager. Every day I get to see the growth in the children and youth we work with, whether that is seeing them read a challenging book, making and keeping a new friend, or finding a new way to keep cool when things get stressful. It truly is the best job in the world!
I can't wait to see everyone at the marathon this year, hopefully with a big victory for Team Luke!
Description
We are Striding For Success with Foothills Academy Society! This organization helps thousands of children, youth and their families every year who have Learning Disabilities and/or ADHD with wrap around-services for literacy, psychology, camps, recreation, community education and school programs.
There are three teams competing for not just to win the race, but to out fundraise each other to support building new program areas at Foothills Academy Society.
