Why am I supporting Foothills Academy Society?
Hi Friends,
It's your pal Ashley Barber here. That's right, I like to use both of my names, just to make sure everyone knows that Ms. Barber and Ashley are the same person.
I cannot wait for the marathon this year, especially to support the place we all love - Foothills Academy Society. We are going to raise money for a bouldering wall and black box theater, both of which I am SO excited about.
I have been at Foothills Academy Society for a long time now. I was a teacher, and now I am the Vice Principal of the school. I even had a sibling who went to school here years and years ago! I get to see the awesome things that are happening every day at Foothills, whether it is with my Chem 30 students mastering their tests, a student high-fiving me in the hallway between classes, or having some one-on-one time with a student during their lunch and hearing about their day. I think I have the best job in the world!
I can't wait to see everyone this year at the marathon AND after party! Help me fundraise and get a big victory for Team Barber!
Description
We are Striding For Success with Foothills Academy Society! This organization helps thousands of children, youth and their families every year who have Learning Disabilities and/or ADHD with wrap around-services for literacy, psychology, camps, recreation, community education and school programs.
There are three teams competing for not just to win the race, but to out fundraise each other to support building new program areas at Foothills Academy Society.
