Why am I supporting Foothills Academy Society?
I am in grade six at Foothills Academy. This is my third year running the 5k to raise money for the school. The money we are raising goes for programs at the school, in the Amicus recreation program (I did multi sport & art this year) and summer camp (I went to overnight camp last year and go again in July) and makes sure that there are bursaries for kids who need help to cover these costs.
Description
We are Striding For Success with Foothills Academy Society! This organization helps thousands of children, youth and their families every year who have Learning Disabilities and/or ADHD with wrap around-services for literacy, psychology, camps, recreation, community education and school programs.
There are three teams competing for not just to win the race, but to out fundraise each other to support building new program areas at Foothills Academy Society.
