Why am I supporting Foothills Academy Society?
I have a personal connection with Foothills through my wife (Laurel) who teaches there. I see her dedication and commitment to the students and families on a daily basis, and I get to hear about the transformative impact this institution has on student's lives.
Foothill Academy's philosophy notes that the "school was built around the belief that all students with Learning Disabilities have exceptional potential, and that with the right supports and guidance, they can achieve great success in school, post-secondary, and the workplace"... Isn't that awesome! We have way too much untapped potential and I love that they're helping students recognize theirs.
I'm looking forward to supporting Foothills Academy on race day and I greatly appreciate any support that you can provide.
Description
We are Striding For Success with Foothills Academy Society! This organization helps thousands of children, youth and their families every year who have Learning Disabilities and/or ADHD with wrap around-services for literacy, psychology, camps, recreation, community education and school programs.
There are three teams competing for not just to win the race, but to out fundraise each other to support building new program areas at Foothills Academy Society.
