Established in July 2010, Assam Association of Alberta is a social organization dedicated to promoting Assamese culture, language, music, drama, arts and literature. It also encourages and supports co-operation, goodwill and well-being of all people and communities. This non-profit organization is involved with programs and services typically for education, sports, social causes, arts and others.

Assam Association of Alberta is inviting you to join our team for a spring kick-off to the running season, this event is our commitment to charity and to support " Calgary Society for Persons with Disabilities “ Special needs (or additional needs) refer to individuals who require assistance for disabilities that may be medical, mental, or psychological. It can range from people with autism, Asperger syndrome, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, dyslexia, dyscalculia, dyspraxia, dysgraphia, blindness, deafness, ADHD, and cystic fibrosis. They can also include cleft lips and missing limbs.

We welcome runners and walkers of all ages to participate and to donate generously to our cause. This is a celebration of family, community and healthy active living. We will be supporting you throughout your journey to the start line. The commitment you make when you register is to yourself, but you are not alone. It's a 5KM party that can be walked, skipped, jogged or run and regardless of how you arrive.

Therefore, rally your fellow colleagues, friends and family and together we can celebrate this great day supporting our cause.
