Mon histoire…

I ran my first in-person Ottawa Race Weekend 10K last year. It wouldn't have been possible without the Ottawa Heart Institute who inserted a stent in my left anterior descending (LAD) artery (also known as the "widow-maker") less than 2 weeks after detecting a 90% blockage with an angiogram.

The care was fantastic and the opportunity to get in quickly was amazing. What a great institute to have so close to home!

This was 6 years ago; not too long afterward I made some lifestyle changes, particularly taking up running after not having run since high school.
