Hello,

My name is leila and I wanted to share with you why I am running a 10k to support the heart institute and raise money for them. It means a lot to me because I was diagnosed with a condition called Atrial Septal Defect (ASD) when I was 29 years old.

ASD is a congenital heart defect that affects the wall between the two upper chambers of the heart. This defect can cause blood to flow abnormally between the chambers, leading to a variety of symptoms and complications.

When I was first diagnosed with ASD, I was understandably scared and uncertain about what the future held. But thanks to the amazing care and expertise of the heart institute, I was able to receive the treatment I needed to manage my condition and live a full, healthy life.

I am now determined to give back to the heart institute by raising money to support their ongoing research and patient care efforts. By running a 10k and raising funds for this cause, I hope to help others like me who may be facing a similar diagnosis and need the support of world-class medical professionals.

I am grateful for any support you can offer as I undertake this challenge, and I hope that together we can make a difference in the lives of those affected by heart conditions.
