In surgery and critical care, I am inspired by how patients respond to life threatening illness, many of whom embody life affirming positivity and energy, demonstrate remarkable courage and determination, all the while showing grace, gratitude and giving. In addition, the support from their loved ones is often simultaneously inspirational.
Sindy Hooper and her support team are an exceptional and inspirational example of that spirit and approach, and I am delighted to be fundraising, celebrating and supporting Sindy and her MEMC Crew! Check out her link below!
Indeed, making every moment count (MEMC) in life, that is living in the present moment and truly enjoying the journey, and being grateful to be able to do so, is such a powerful and important message for us all.
Unfortunately, due to a meniscal tear in my left knee, I am unable to complete the race. I will be cheering on my siblings, friends and the MEMC crew!
