Mon histoire…
Hello Family and Friends
Each year I take part in the Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend and this year is no different as I will continue to run the race virtually. Again, I have decided to challenge myself with the Bytown challenge which involves a 2K, followed by a 5K and ending with a 10K and am raising money for a local charity that is important to me through the Scotiabank Charity Challenge - Camp Misquah.
The charity as you know is near and dear to my heart because it is the Camp that my brother Bob attends every year. Bob is developmentally disabled and there are few things that get him very excited and one of them is his chance to attend Camp Misquah for a week every July. Camp Misquah and its staff are amazing with all the participants which vary with slight to very severe developmental and physical disabilities and they provide a memorable experience to people with developmental disabilities of all ages. The camp offers superb residential facilities and a highly structured program for children and adults of all levels of ability.
The smiles on all the participants faces say it all when they get off the bus after their week at camp!
Any support you provide goes into the Camp as they are always improving the facilities with a new park pavilion, CIT cabin and a craft cabin for example.
Help bring a smile to the campers who help bring smiles to all of our lives!!!
Thanks so much for your support <3
