I’m doing the Ottawa Race Weekend 5k to help break down the barriers faced by people with epilepsy. With significantly higher rates of depression, suicidal behavior, unemployment, and educational barriers, those with epilepsy need our support more than ever.

Having worked at community epilepsy agencies for 12 years, I have seen firsthand the discrimination and lack of understanding that people with epilepsy face in their daily lives - whether it's at work, school, or in their personal relationships. It's time to stand with those who face these challenges.
