With this being my last year in my 20's, I made a promise to myself that I would try new things that push me out of my comfort zone and make the best of this year before I turn 30. Participating in the 2023 Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend will not only be a new experience and a way for me to challenge myself, but an opportunity to fundraise for an organization that I am passionate about and strongly believe in. 

As some of you may know, I have been volunteering with Circles of Support and Accountability (CoSA) Ottawa since July 2016. CoSA, with the ultimate goal of No More Victims, is a proven public safety measure that reduces sexual victimization in our community by supporting and holding accountable people who have been incarcerated for committing sexual offences and seek our help voluntarily to turn their lives around. Research has shown that being involved in CoSA can reduce recidivism rates by 80% compared to matched individuals without CoSA support.
