Help ashley raise money

Dear friends and family,

I will be participating in the Ottawa Race Weekend’s 5KM event, raising funds for pancreatic cancer under MEMC Crew and am reaching out for your support.

My friend and mentor Sindy Hooper has been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer that has also spread to her left lung, spine, and ribs. She will be participating in the 5KM event and has been working hard over the past 10 years to raise funds for pancreatic cancer research and treatment after being first diagnosed and told she only had 6 months to live. Sindy defied these odds and has dedicated her life since to making every moment count (the name of her team - MEMC) and has raised over $150,000 for the Ottawa Hospital this year alone. 

I’ve continued to be guided by Sindy’s mentorship since meeting in 2015 and am heartbroken of her recent diagnosis. Anytime I’m faced with a challenge I am always drawn to thinking of Sindy’s resiliency during her ups and downs over the past decade and her continuous choice for living each day with gratitude and making every moment count, regardless of her current state. I look forward to giving the run tomorrow all I’ve got by going for a personal best in support of Sindy who has consistently given the past 10 years all her best.
