This is my second year with The Perley Health Foundation team. I am running 10km to raise awareness of Horticultural Therapy and Therapeutic Horticulture. I am one of 32 Registered Horticultural Therapists (HTR) in Canada with a total of 41 professional members in Canada. I am on the Registration Committee and a liaison with the Education Committee of The Canadian Horticultural Therapy Association. I have been supporting and facilitating Horticultural Therapy programs at Perley Health since 2014. In 2021, I help start up the social enterprise Root in Nature and am the lead Horticultural Therapist. I am also running to also raise awareness that despite health challenges one can still reach their goal(s).
