Notre histoire…
In 2018 Our daughter Faith unfortunately suffered significant brain damage due to her heart stopping two weeks after open heart surgery. It took over 47 minutes to get a solid pulse back which has left her non mobile & non verbal for the rest of her life.
During this time our Family lived in Kingston, Ontario 2 hours away. Traveling back and forth during this time was extremely difficult.
Thankfully the most wonderful place was ready to take me in while my Wife stayed at the hospital with Faith.
That place was Ronald McDonald house located directly across from the Children's hospital in Ottawa.
For almost 5 months my everyday life revolved around Ronald McDonald House. It literally became my home away from home.
Faith had older siblings in Kingston so there was still driving back and forth but to know Ronald McDonald House was there right next door was such a stress reliever!! The staff treated you like their own. It is the most Wonderful place.
Dad will be pushing Faith in the 5km marathon on may 28th. We very much encourage everyone to join us in person or Virtually.
When our family was at its lowest Ronald McDonald House was there for us. They need to be there for other families as well. This is why we're "Walkin for Ronald McDonald House".
