Last Call!
This is Capt. Jimmy Neumann, humbly asking my friends & family to support my quest to swim from Bayfield to Madeline Island, this August 5th, just short of my 76th birthday. I have traveled this route many times on a sailboat, so at least I know the way. Any donations you may give will go directly to the Bayfield Recreation Center, the event sponsor. Donations should be sent by Friday, July 14, the last day they will be accepted. I have recently re-evaluated the results of my training so far and have determined I am fit enough and/or crazy enough to give it a go. All contributors will receive a treat from Duluth's Best Bread, on me, should we ever happen to be there at the same time.
