My Story…
L’Arche Calgary is a community, made up of five Group Homes in Calgary, a Supported Independent Living Program (SILP), and a Tamarack Day Program. L’Arche Calgary supports adults with intellectual disabilities. It is a place where people with and without intellectual disabilities share life in a community designed to bring out the best in everyone, physically, mentally, and spiritually. We celebrate the unique value of every person and recognize our need for one another. We strive to make known the gifts of people with intellectual disabilities, by revealing them through mutually transforming relationships.
In L'Arche, we share our spirituality, pray with and for one another, welcome guests and neighbors, host family and friends, prepare and eat meals together, work together on daily chores, grow our skills and talents, celebrate birthdays, holidays, and other milestones, and we even plan outings and go on vacations together. Life in L’Arche is lived and experienced together!
Donate today, make a difference, and help make known the value and gifts of people with intellectual disabilities!
