My Story…
Did you know that 1 in 5 Canadians live with lung disease?
As a registered respiratory therapist, I always had a passion for advocating for those living with lung disease. I have experience working with a variety of respiratory conditions across a variety of patient populations (neonates, pediatrics, and adults). Some of these respiratory conditions include; chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, interstitial lung disease, lung cancer, sleep apnea, pneumonia, and COVID-19. Outside of the workplace, I have volunteer experience refurbishing used sleep apnea machines as they are re-homed to those who cannot afford therapy. I am committed to improving lung health by volunteering for the Stair Heroes event that is taking place February 19.
Stair Heroes is a unique 36-flight stair climb organized by the Lung Association. It is with hope that this event will raise critical awareness and funds for those living with lung disease.
My goal is to raise $500 to help Nova Scotia and Islanders breathe easier! Any donation counts!
