My Story…
This 1st ever Ruck 4 Freedom was created by an amazing family of a Soldier that served with Jake. The main event is in Arizona with plans to make it bigger and better with each passing year. Funds raised will be donated to 2 great organizations. The first is the Hope Foundation which provides mental health assistance to Veterans and their families. The second is to Operation Delta Dog here in New Hampshire. OpDD provides trained service dogs to Veterans. Both are great organizations that support our heroes and their families!
In 2017 Jake's unit, the 4/25th Infantry BDE (Airborne) deployed to Afghanistan. Sadly, that deployment took the lives of a few young troops and left many permanently scarred - physically and emotionally. Jake, while serving alongside some of America's most elite troops, was injured and spent months recovering at the US military's burn center. I spent 2 months watching him & many other young men and women quietly endure unimaginable levels of pain as they fought to recover from their injuries. Our Veterans, especially our younger ones, need some assistance. Please consider supporting Huey and I as we ruck up and road march through Madison, NH.
