SAM FOREVER STAY GOLD
In loving memory of Sam O'Neill
May 1, 1988 - April 4, 2023
On October 15th, 2023, I will be running the Toronto Waterfront Half Marathon in memory of my friend Sam O'Neill, who passed away in April. Alongside 67 family and friends, we will celebrate the incredible person that Sam was, while raising money for the Canadian Cancer Society with proceeds going toward cervical cancer research.
Sam was an 11-time marathoner, more times than we could possibly count half marathoner, and a friend that I met through running, so it only makes sense that we would do a half marathon in her honor. If you knew Sam, you knew that she was an amazing friend, talented writer, beer lover, and completely obsessed fan of her adorable dog, Jack. You knew that she was stubborn AF, brave, spontaneous, authentic, and independent. You know that she was gold.
