My Story…
At the beginning of this year, I signed up to run my first marathon with my son, mainly to encourage him and also to challenge myself.
Unfortunately, due to my health condition after got the covid, I haven’t been able to train as well as I planned to. I hesitated whether I can still run. However, during this year I learned many close friends and family members have struggled and are struggling with the impact of cancer. So as a cancer survivor, my desire is to run this race in supporting them and on behalf of them.
This year, my family and I are raising money for the Canadian Cancer Society to support our friends who have won their fight with cancer and those who are currently still fighting. It is heartbreaking to see the negative effects of cancer on their physical and emotional health. Any donation amount is greatly appreciated to continue cancer research to improve and save the lives of people with all types of cancer.
For more information about the Canadian Cancer Society visit https://cancer.ca/en/ to learn how you can raise awareness and make a difference for individuals suffering from cancer.
To be honest, I’m not sure if I can finish it, but with your support, I will certainly run my best race. “I can do all things through him who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13
