Help Ma Kyi Kyi raise money

On October 22, I will walk 5 km in High Park with the Canadian Humanitarian Team to raise funds to send kids to school in Ethiopia who otherwise could not attend. As someone fortunate enough to have settled in Canada with my daughter from Myanmar, I know how important it is to give children a chance in life. Canadian Humanitarian makes sure that children in Ethiopia can get an education and break the cycle of poverty. Although education is supposed to be free in Ethiopia, there are charges for uniforms and books, and these children need healthy meals and medical care, as do their caregivers (mostly grandmothers). This is one of the best ways I know of to break the cycle of poverty. Canadian Humanitarian has very little overhead cost because volunteers are dedicated to helping.
