SAM FOREVER STAY GOLD
In loving memory of Sam O'Neill
May 1, 1988 – April 4, 2023
My friend Sam O'Neill died this spring.
My friends and I loved Sam very much. She was a stalwart pillar in our Vancouver running club, an avid marathoner, and a wonderful friend.
On October 15th, 2023, I will be running the Toronto Waterfront Marathon in honour of Sam, along with many more of her friends and family. We're raising money for the Canadian Cancer Society with proceeds going toward cervical cancer research.
In December 2021, I had the privilege to run the California International Marathon with Sam — the last of the eleven marathons she ran in her far-too-short life. She got a Personal Best that day. I'll be holding her memory close in this marathon.
