My Story…
Embarking on a half marathon has been a goal I've wanted to accomplish for some time as it requires discipline, determination, perseverance, and endurance. To prepare for this, I’ve been training for nearly 12 weeks for the physical challenge that I'll be faced with. Completing this challenge is extremely meaningful to me, but even more important because of the cause I will be running on behalf of.
Like many of you, I've experienced the effects that cancer has on families and the impact of what the disease does on our loved ones. Seeing it first hand with my mother's journey of fighting breast cancer in a pandemic, showed her resilience and strength. Her experience is a driving force for why I’m choosing to donate to the Canadian Cancer Society. This organization focuses on all forms of cancers to find cures so that our loved ones will no longer have to face this disease. It is my privilege to be running on behalf of my loved ones who lost their battle with cancer and for all of my family and friends who have had a loved one impacted by this disease.
I would appreciate anyone who’s able to donate through me by using the link attached. All proceeds will be directly donated to the Canadian Cancer Society to assist in the cure for cancer.
Thank you all for the support
