My Story…
When I started working at Crohn's and Colitis Canada, I was unaware of the severity of both Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis and how these auto-immune diseases can affect those diagnosed in profound, heartbreaking, and sometimes deadly ways. I've met people at all stages of their diagnosis, with all levels of severity, and heard so much about how isolating and lonely it is to live with IBD in a world filled with stigma about all things bowel movements and poop.
But I'm proud to say that we are breaking down that stigma one step at a time at Crohn's and Colitis Canada. From funding groundbreaking international research to running live-saving programming and educational services to developing apps to support Washroom access across Canada to hosting impactful community events where people with IBD connect and celebrate each other, Crohn's and Colitis Canada does it all while raising awareness about IBD. I am proud to be a part of such a driven, committed, leading organization, and proud to fundraise for Crohn's and Colitis Canada in a challenging and exciting way.
As such, I would love any support to reach my fundraising goal as I run my first half marathon virtually on October 22nd. Any contribution is appreciated! Thank you!
