My Story…
In honor of my wonderful Grandpa, Ken Steer, and the morning after his passing, I walked a half marathon on October 27th from my home in Aurora to my Grandparents house in Thornhill totaling 23.5 km.
I'm raising money for the Alzheimer Society of Toronto and hope you can share a few dollars to help support those living with Alzheimer's and their caregivers, as well as on going research for a cure.
My Grandpa struggled with Dementia for the last several years of his life, with my grandma, Lorraine, as his primary caregiver. Despite the difficult times, we always managed to smile and laugh together. I chose to support the Alzheimer's Society of Toronto, as I know grandpa's journey is a common one and we need to find a cure and fund additional supports for those experiencing this disease.
