My Story
Dear Family & Friends,
We've taken on a challenge & need your help! On October 15th, we'll be running as a mommy & daughter team in the 5K with Team Believe in the 2023 TCS Toronto Waterfront Marathon. We're running to support children around the world to overcome barriers and access education with Children Believe.
Team Believe Runner Nadira: A little about me...
I am originally from Winnipeg, Manitoba, raised in in the USA and I now live in Whitby, Ontario. I am of Guyanese heritage and I love to cook, bake and BBQ with my husband and little girl, Aleena. As a family, we love playing board games, having tea parties and traveling the world.

I am almost 7 years old. I am in Grade 2, love school and have lots of friends. I am an avid dancer, soccer player and swimmer. I am running for Team Believe so that other children can also have access to clean water, healthy food & have safe places to grow & play.

Donate to help raise critical funds for Children Believe and support their run in the 2023 TCS Toronto Waterfront Marathon. Your donation will help break barriers to creating healthy, educated, and empowered communities. You’ll be helping children access knowledge, training, and opportunities to raise their voices and make positive change. You’ll provide life essentials, such as clean water, healthy food, and safe places to grow and play. And, you’ll support our most effective tool in our global movement for change: EDUCATION.
