Our story…
This streetcar makes no stops! We're 5 local Toronto runners with a dream to not be a streetcar conductor, but to be the streetcar itself. We all met at runTObeer and have taken on the challenge of the fastest half marathon in a 5 person costume. In homage to the city that we love, we have chosen a TTC streetcar as our costume as we follow the streets of Toronto to a Guinness World Record. With the support of Athletic Brewing (a little liquid courage), we hope to beat the existing record. As a group, we strongly support the work of Annex Cat Rescue - as a team, we have 3 rescue cats, one coming from Annex Cat Rescue. They do fantastic work in our community and hope we can inspire others to support them.

Description
Until that time, we care for cats and kittens in a variety of ways including (but not limited to) daily feeding and colony management, medical/dental care, socializing, fostering, adopting or, in the case of feral cats, spaying/neutering and returning (TNR). ACR remains 100% volunteer-run with nearly 90% of monies raised helping cats in partnership with veterinarians who provide services at reduced rates.
Annex Cat Rescue relies exclusively on donations. The year 2022 marked our 25th anniversary; an amazing accomplishment for a charity that began with neighbours gathering to help homeless cats. This success is due to many committed volunteers and the generosity of our supporters. We continue to face extraordinary challenges including (but not limited to) cats requiring urgent medical and dental care as well as spay/neuter and vaccinations. Our work supporting homeless cats in our community cannot happen without ongoing support.
