My Story…
The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) is an incredible organization that has helped thousands of families in their most vulnerable and challenging times. I am honoured to raise money in support of this wonderful organization, which makes a direct impact in our communities.
On July 29th-30th, I will be running the Tally in the Valley Trail Race, participating in "The Gong Show" elimination event. This race is organized by Happy Trails Racing and takes place in Dundas Valley Conservation Area, Hamilton. The format of the race is a "backyard ultra", or last man standing event.
Runners will have 1 hour to complete 7km loop on a hilly trail (which is 1 lap). Successful runners must wait until the end of that hour before they can start the next lap, regardless of how fast they completed the previous lap (ie. 1 lap at the top of every hour, on the hour). This will be repeated until there is only 1 runner remaining, with a cap at 24 hours (or 168kms). If more than 1 runner remains for the final lap, whoever completes the final lap fastest will win.
Every child deserves a chance. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your donation.
