Community Foundation Run

Welcome to the
Community Foundation Run!

On the day of the Run, over 5,000 people come together for one of the biggest celebrations of community spirit and support in Gaston County. The day is filled with a 5K Run, entertainment, games, food and informational booths. The magic of this community celebration, combined with ease of giving to the local nonprofits, has increased awareness about the work of local organizations and enabled them to raise nearly $26 million in the last twenty years.

Packet Pickup: Packet pickup for preregistered runners will be available March 27 through March 31 from 9:30am - 4:30pm at the Foundation.

Race Day Registration: Race day registration and packet pickup will be available on April 1 from 6:30am - 8:00am at home base on the field inside the Caromont Health Park.

Start Time: The 5K will start at 9AM at the start line in the parking lot behind the stadium and continues onto North Trenton Street.

5K participants have a chance to win prize money for participating non-profit of their choice in the following age categories:

  • Overall Male/Female Winner (not eligible for age group awards)
  • 1st and 2nd place Male/Female Winner in the the following categories:
    9 and under; 10-14; 15-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70 and up
