My Story…
Our sweet son Aiden was born on Sept 1 2022 at 23 weeks gestation. He was a beautiful, perfect baby who will always live on in our hearts. At 22 weeks Aiden was diagnosed with severe ventriculomegaly/hydrocephalus bilaterally and absence of anterior midline division, which meant Aiden was not viable with life. Following Aiden's passing, we used the bereavement services provided by the Roger Neilson House (RNH) which helped us immensely in our journey to healing. These services are all complementary thanks to fundraising organizations like the Butterfly Run Ottawa.
The Butterfly Run Ottawa aims to raise awareness and support around pregnancy loss, infant loss, pregnancy after loss, and infertility in Ottawa and surrounding areas. All proceeds from the run are donated to Roger Neilson House (RNH), an awesome organization that provides families with a wide variety of support and services, including bereavement support for parents who have lost a child or baby. This organization helped Andy and I immensely after the loss of our baby boy. We hope that by sharing our story we can increase awareness of these services and show our appreciation.
Thank you so much for donating to this amazing organization. Your funds will help many families through some of their toughest days.
