Our story…

14 Construction Engineering Squadron (14 CES) stood up in 1994 to better support RCAF international operations by recruiting, training, and deploying exceptional Construction Engineering and Logistical Support Reservist personnel. 14 CES has four Construction Engineering Flights (CEF) across Canada: 91 CEF in Gander Newfoundland, 192 CEF in Aldergrove British Columbia, 144 CEF in Pictou Nova Scotia, and 143 CEF located in Lunenburg County Nova Scotia with the Headquarters next door. In addition to Engineering and Logistical excellence, 14 CES also specializes in the construction of Expedient Shelters. This capability enables the RCAF and CAF to have rapidly deployable infrastructure to protect its equipment and personnel from the most rugged of environmental challenges.

Description

1 April 2024 marks 100 years of service for the Royal Canadian Air Force as an independent military element. This Centennial milestone places the RCAF in a unique position to celebrate with Canadians, fuel internal and external support and pride in the organization, and leave an enduring legacy that propels the institution forward into its next century of service.

The 100th anniversary of the RCAF is an extraordinary opportunity to reflect upon our global contributions to national security, international peace and stability.  With this in mind, the RCAF will curate a national campaign that honours and celebrates our history and heritage, while inspiring future generations of Canadians.

The Royal Canadian Air Force Centennial Fund has been established to this national campaign as well as to provide support to RCAF families. In addition to celebrating our rich history and heritage, the RCAF Centennial seeks engage Canada’s youth in pursuing careers in aviation, space and STEM. In collaboration with various community partners, significant efforts will be undertaken to showcase our history and heritage while enriching the lives of current and aspiring aviators and their families. Your support and participation in the inaugural National RCAF Run will help progress these efforts.
