Anyone who knows me knows I love to swim, especially in open water. I’m swimming this race today to help raise money for the Ottawa Riverkeeper Foundation, who aim to keep the river clean for all the beings that live in it and use it.
Description
Ottawa Riverkeeper has been bringing people together to protect and promote the ecological health of the Ottawa River and watershed for over 20 years! With a watershed bigger than the size of England, measuring 1,271 km (from source to mouth), the Ottawa River is home to more than 24 imperiled species, such as the American eel and the Hickorynut Mussel.
Your donation will help to fund vital programs like the Pollution Hotline, our Watershed Health Assessment & Monitoring program, our Riverwatch network of incredible volunteers, and more!
