My Story…
Until September it never would have crossed my mind to do a half marathon.
But I entered a 2 mile race and met a lady who said she was doing one in December.
That same day she spoke to me, my daughter was running one in the UK. And my previous daughter had run one a few weeks before.
So I got it into my head that I would run a half marathon! My aim is to finish the course, with a combination of walking, jogging and running.
I have recently given a workshop at the Cayman Islands Crisis Centre. I was touched and shocked by the ladies' stories. I learned that domestic violence is not just present in these islands, but rampant.
Having been physically bullied by the boys in my class as a child, I would love to support these women as I challenge myself to run the half marathon.
Please help me donate to them by supporting my run. Many thanks in advance for your generosity.
