My Story…
I was diagnosed with stage 4 colorectal cancer in January 2021 at age 37. I was told chemotherapy for life which would be an average of 3 years. I have had 23 rounds of chemo so far and many procedures and surgeries that were not “approved” for me because the cancer had spread to lungs and bones. However, being young and healthy I am thriving with these treatments that Filomena at CCRAN help me advocate for. My lung surgery in Toronto in Feb and then again in May is thanks to CCRAN as my oncologist at BC Cancer never told me about this option or even told me about this organization to help me advocate for proper treatment.
Let’s support organizations that truly help individuals like me and many others around Canada 💙
This is a virtual event in Vancouver but we want to make it a live event next year. But, a group of us with colorectal cancer want to gather friends, family & even strangers to participate in the start of a future event. Reach out to Jessica on Instagram @jessfightscancer if you want to participate or email jessdasler@gmail.com 💙
Donate to help Jessica raise money for Bumrun Virtual 2023’s fundraising campaign.
