3000 Burpees

12 hrs, 3000 burpees, in support of our community heroes and first responders through V-EH! (Veterans and Everyday Heroes).

Why 3000? Because it sucks. It is going to be a real challenge. Most people don't want to do it. Our first responders face challenges every day that most of us would not want to face. This event is about spending a day in their shoes. The challenge is different, but will require the right mindset to succeed, as is the same with our community heroes. Hopefully in doing so, we can raise enough support and funds for V-EH! and give back to our first responders!

V-EH! is a veteran-led organization that provides various means of critical mental and physical wellbeing support for correctional officers, peace/police officers, firefighters, paramedics, nurses, 9-11 operators and members of the military.

BRING:

- Best Attitude / Winning mindset

- Knee Pads (trust me)

- Soft mat (location has hard floors)

- Hydration source (cup/bottle)

- Preferred fuel source (bars, gels, etc)

- Towels, sweatband might be helpful

- Corny jokes, unbridled humour

- Pat on the back for showing up

PROVIDED:

- Refreshments provided throughout the day (please advise of allergies

in advance)

- Hydration

- Music and possibly bad singing

- Finisher’s medal

WHAT TO EXPECT:

- Arrive at 0700 hrs - 12 hours to complete 3000 burpees (approx. 250/hour)

- Demo at the beginning, how to perform a burpee, burpee modifications

- Sergeant Andy Gough, Veteran and CEO of VEH will attend to show

support and deliver a talk about the organization this event is supporting

and benefits for the community

- Bring your kids, they are welcome to participate (lightly)

*Although in-person is preferred, virtual participation is an option. Finishers medals will only be provided for in-person participation.
