MoonPie Move 5K and 10K

MoonPie Move
5K & 10K

Join us on May 4 for the MoonPie Move 5K/10K race. 5K runners will start and finish from the Red Bank Jubilee near Food City for a fast and flat route while the 10K will do the same route plus the challenging climb to White Oak Park. Finishers will have the chance to indulge in MoonPies, coffee, and MoonPie Stout donated by Naked River Brewing. Participants are encouraged to check out the Jubilee afterwards! A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the local chapter of Girls on the Run.

The run is produced by RunRhino (formerly Scenic City Multisport), a Chattanooga-based company known for putting on unique races and events, including 7 Bridges Marathon, Scenic City Mud Run, the Whiskey Run Series, the Phoenix Race Series, Santa Hustle races, and the Hungry Turkey.

Current weather predictions indicate some light rain on Saturday. We will delay for thunder or lightning for safety but we don’t anticipate a delay.

Parking

There is ample parking near the start/finish line for the Jubilee. Best parking is at Red Bank United Methodist Church.

Switching Your Distance

VERY IMPORTANT FOR ACCURATE RESULTS

Before the Race:

If you need to change your distance before race day, please email jay@sceniccitymultisport.com, or let us know when you pick up your packet.

On Race Day:

If you need to change your distance, PLEASE notify the head timer at the finish line.

Switching to Virtual

Virtual running is available for anyone that wants to switch. Pick up your packet on Saturday and email us your results to be posted. Please email jay@sceniccitymultisport.com to switch. Special accommodations can be made for those that can’t pick up this weekend.

Aid Stations

Aid stations will be at 5K Turnaround (both distances), at the turn on Memorial Drive to White Oak Park, and at the 10K Turnaround in White Oak Park.

Aid Stations will be stocked with water.

Bathrooms/Portolets

Portojohn facilities available near the start/finish line.

After the Finish Line

MoonPies, Coffee, and MoonPie Stout from Naked River.

MoonPie sampling with Coffee and MoonPie will be available at the finish line with race results and awards.

Results and Awards

Awards will be presented with instant results at the finish line (no awards ceremony).
